OPENINGS
The Nominating Committee of Philadelphia Black Gay Pride Inc. invites the participation of the community in a new process to select well-qualified, accomplished individuals to serve in positions on the Board of Directors of Philadelphia Black Gay Pride Inc. (PBGP). PBGP is looking for individuals who have demonstrated the experience, knowledge and skills to handle the tasks and make the judgments involved in fulfilling the roles of Board Directors.

Do you want to recommend someone to be considered for a position on the Board of Directors? Please send an email to: board.openings@gmail.com, with the following information:

* Your e-mail address
We invite both (a) Recommendations of persons to be considered and (b) Statements of Interest from persons who wish to be considered for the following positions: eight (8) open seats on the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee will use the criteria and eligibility factors described below as a part of their decision factoring.
Members of the Board of Directors shall be:
1. Persons of integrity, objectivity, and intelligence, with reputations for sound judgment and open minds, and a demonstrated capacity for thoughtful group decision-making;
2. Persons with an understanding of PBGP's mission and the potential impact of decisions on the LGBTQ community of Color, and committed to the success of PBGP;
3. Persons who, in the aggregate, have some familiarity with the operation of PBGP, and the public interest of the LGBTQ community of Color; and with the broad range of business, individual, as well as academic, clientele PBGP interacts with.
4. Persons who are willing to serve as volunteers, without compensation other than the reimbursement of certain expenses; and
5. Persons with excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
